Fall Down Go Boom

“Some of the most destructive weather on the planet, you say? Well…%^&* it - let’s build expensive stuff here.”  -Henry Flagler, FL’s fearless gazillionaire sugar daddy

Greetings and happy belated Father’s Day, insurance pros!

In this edition: hey good lookin’, share it, Saturdays, CE requirements, featured Webinar this week, 4-hour Annuity Training course, 4-hour Law & Ethics Update Webinars, weekly highlights, full June schedule, FL’s mustachioed monopoly man (this week’s F5). Let’s do it.

Lookin’ good, y’all. Thanks to my pals at the Florida Association of Insurance Agents for inviting me to speak at their convention last week and the opportunity to fellowship with many of you fine folks. I appreciate the kind words and helpful feedback you shared about the FISCE – it’s our pleasure to serve this community!

Share it. In our humble opinion the Florida Department of Financial Services created what may be the most essential resource regarding disaster preparedness for insurance pros and consumers. Click here to check out the Department’s resources webpage and then share it with others.

We own Saturdays (at least until college football starts). Saturday Webinars are going bonkers (in a good way). Options include 4-hour Law & Ethics Updates as well as 1- and 3-hour elective options. Two Saturdays monthly! Click here for more about the Saturday explosion.

“What the %^&* are my CE requirements?!” Electives…Law & Ethics Updates…what does it all mean and how does it apply to you? Click here for our CE Compliance page and get your answers.

THE “F5” (FASCINATING FACTOID FOR FANATICAL FLORIDIANS) –

In honor of Father’s Day I thought it appropriate to showcase Henry Flagler – the Gilded Age gazillionare who many consider the Father of modern Florida. Via rapid construction of luxury hotels along the east coast, expansion of ocean-spanning railroads, and funding infrastructure which primed cities like Palm Beach and Miami for growth, this mustachioed monopoly man saw a vibrant future in a place that most had written off as a barren wasteland.

For a timeline of his exploits and morsels about his extraordinary life, check out this awesome resource from the fine folks at Flagler Museum.
