Contracts, Umbrellas, Trucks, FL Gets the Bird

Florida Snowbird Insurance Education CE Credit

“Because snow is pretty for like a minute.”

-Flocks of snowbirds headed this way

Everyone knows there are four primary reasons people flock to Florida: 1) warm weather, 2) theme parks, 3) beaches, and 4) our insurance pros.

We at the FISCE love our state’s insurance community. For over 30 years, we’ve served up education experiences that feature a variety of topics taught by some of the industry’s most lauded experts. If you want to sharpen your skills, bang out some CE hours, or are looking for a respite from your snowbird insureds increasing your workload this time of year, we’re here and happy to have you!

On tap this week: contracts, personal umbrellas, commercial vehicles and homeowners claims. I could go on but your attention span is fleeing faster than retirees to Florida in October so I’ll get to it. Here are this week’s highlights:

  • “What the #%^* did you just sign?!” Most people are afraid to say how they really feel. Terry “Everyone’s Insurance Dad” Tadlock is NOT most people. Regarding contracts, his strong opinions and sage advice this Tuesday afternoon could save your insured’s skin.
  • She’s got issues (regarding personal umbrellas.) Nicole “WTH’s Decaf?” Broch and her highly-energetic, highly-enlightening teaching style are back in the hotseat Wednesday afternoon for a review of all things personal umbrella.
  • What the truck?! Join FISCE’s resident commercial vehicle expert Sam “Dad Jokes Ain’t Bad Jokes” Bennett Thursday morning for a convoy of coverage issues involving commercial transportation.
  • My dog bit a burglar during my home reno (or something like that.) Nicole is back Thursday afternoon to discuss a variety of homeowners claims, what went right, what didn’t, and what happens next.

For more info about what we’re up to, see the list below and/or review the full Webinar Schedule on the website.

Finally, if you’re an unapologetic lover of our fine state be sure to flock to the bottom of this newsletter for a little something special.

That’s all for now. Until the next round…cheers!

Barring any big storms, every local knows that October is typically a gorgeous month in Florida. Fortunately (if you’re a relative or business owner) or unfortunately (if you despise crowdedness), so does everyone else.

October is the month most snowbirds make their annual pilgrimage to the Sunshine State. Their arrival and presence in our communities is formidable: during the winter months, the Florida population experiences an increase of more than five percent!
