This Webinar, constructed and taught by FISCE’s commercial lines guru Cathy “On a Mission” Trischan, will ease the pain through discussion on many considerations for agents when issuing a certificate and ways to avoid some of the common problems and errors. Issues regarding Additional Insureds, Waivers of Subrogation and other requests frequently made of agents will also be discussed.
This Week’s Schedule/Highlights (all times Eastern. Keep scrolling to see the full month schedule.)

Insurance pros who take this course will gain expertise on a variety of commercial property issues such as reconstruction costs, setting limits, insurance to value, tenant lease insurance requirements, and acts of civil authority.
- THURS, 10/16, 9 – 11a - Eroding: The Personal Lines Implosion and What Happens Next. When personal Lines markets deteriorate agents and account managers are sent scrambling, carriers change course rapidly and the insured often is left with reduced coverage and higher premiums. Join instructor Nicole “Human Energy Drink” Broch for discussion on what insurance pros can do to understand, explain, and advise insureds as to how to protect themselves when market conditions deteriorate.
- THURS, 10/16, 2 – 3p - An Hour with Nicole: Personal Lines: Read the %^&* Form! The Insurance Services Office (ISO) forms may be the standard but there are variations in commonly used non-standard forms that, if not identified, could lead to coverage problems. THE “F5” (FASCINATING FACTOID FOR FANATICAL FLORIDIANS) –
In celebration of October the F5 section will feature stories about the Sunshine State’s most haunted places/things. Enjoy!
Castillo De San Marcos, Saint Augustine
Wait…you’re telling me one of the oldest buildings in America that’s been host to battles, incarceration, torture, lots of death and has mass graves onsite is HAUNTED?! Who knew?
In what may be the least surprising thing you’ve ever heard, paranormal enthusiasts frequent the fort (the iconic coquina limestone structure dates to 1672) due to its history of…you guessed it…torture and death. While ghosts are thought to occupy almost every nook and cranny, two special specters supposedly still hang out at ol’ Saint Mark. One is the headless corpse of the great Seminole leader Osceola who did some time at the fort after his capture. While he didn’t die at the fort, some believe the infection that killed him a few months after his time there was contracted during his stay.
The other is the ghost of Delores Marti, wife of the fort’s commanding officer who, after smelling her perfume on strapping young captain Manuel Abela and suspecting an affair, chained them both to a freakin’ wall until they died. Some say the smell of her perfume still sweetens the fort’s balmy air.
