  • So you missed your CE deadline. Now what? Learn more about CE compliance including what happens if you miss your deadline here

  • I just love Orlando in June. Our pals at the FAIA have graciously invited yours truly to speak at their annual convention this year. If you’re onsite please say hello and see for yourself that the newsletter memes add at least 20 pounds.

  • Imminent danger. Join us next Tuesday, 6/24 from 11a – 12p Eastern for the debut of our new topic about the dangers of construction sites and how your insureds working on them roll the dice every day. Titled “Imminent Danger: Spotting Site Risks & Saving Construction Insureds,” insurance pros who attend will explore the risks that impact any size construction business as well as learn where prevention efforts can impact their workers and their bottom line.

  • One storm resource to rule them all. This webpage from the Florida Department of Financial Services may be the most comprehensive and actionable of them all regarding storm prep, insurance, and what to do when the worst happens. If you have not yet done so consider sharing this webpage with your insureds!

  • Get the latest happenings, get compliant: take a 4-hour Law & Ethics Update Webinar. Our schedule is packed with Webinars that fulfill the requirement for P&C licensees, Life/Health licensees, and All-Lines Claims Adjuster licensees. Keep scrolling to see the schedule.

THE “F5” (FASCINATING FACTOID FOR FANATICAL FLORIDIANS) –

The most accurate location name ever?

Florida was once home to Mosquito County. Formed in December of 1824, it was the third county established in the state. Comprised of a huge chunk of land along the eastern portion of the peninsula, the county was so large that its land included all of present-day Volusia, Brevard, Indian River, St. Lucie, Marion, Martin, Seminole, Osceola, Orange, Lake, Polk and Palm Beach counties.

Alas, the most aptly-named county in history lasted only 20 years, officially disestablished in March of 1844. Someone should’ve told the bugs.
