Let’s do this.

“What in the actual %^&* are my CE requirements?!” Click here for our CE Compliance page and get your answers.

REMINDERS/ANNOUNCEMENTS

  • It happens to the best of you. According to the CE gods at the Florida Department of Financial Services (DFS) the number of licensees who face administrative action for missing their CE compliance deadline is WAY higher then you would believe. It can happen to the best of you, and if it does, the result is potentially career-altering (and not in a good way.) Financial penalty, terminated appointments, costs and time required to get reappointed, aches from banging your head against the wall, the miserable list goes on. To learn more about CE rules check out our compliance page.

  • Put us in, coach. Add a CE component to spice up your organization’s summer meetings/conference. Scroll down for more info about how we can help.

  • You’re not young (but you’re not too old, either). We’re excited to announce the debut of a new CE Webinar topic this week on retirement planning: a subject of equal importance to those at the beginning of their earning life and those who are staring retirement in the face. See the description below and register today!

THE “F5” (FASCINATING FACTOID FOR FANATICAL FLORIDIANS) –

Most people know Saint Augustine as one of the most historically significant places in America. Unfortunately, many don’t know about Fort Mose – one of the greatest contributions to the area’s historical significance. Located on the northern edge of the ancient city and established in 1738, Fort Mose is the site of the first free black community in what became the United States.

A destination sought after by courageous Africans who escaped from enslavement in the British colonies, the grueling journey required passage through swamps and dense forests. Along the way they sought assistance from Natives, creating what many historians consider the first underground railroad.
