CE Webinars This Week (all times Eastern. Keep scrolling to see the full month schedule):
- TUES, 5/20, 11a – 12p - An Hour with Sam: Liability Concerns in the Personal Auto Policy. The Insurance Services Office (ISO) Personal Auto Policy (PAP) is the most frequently written coverage form in our industry. Regardless, this form has many ‘mysteries’ – for both the insurance professional and the policyholder. This presentation, delivered by Sam “Dad Joke GOAT” Bennett, will address a few liability concerns in the PAP and will provide information on endorsements that should be considered for nearly every Personal Auto risk.
- WED, 5/21, 1 – 4p – Reasons Personal Lines are Broken (and What to Do About It). Our featured Webinar this week! See description above.
- THURS, 5/22, 9a – 12p - Homeowners Endorsements Insureds Don't Want (But Do Need). To save a buck, consumers are quick to strip off coverage and/or buy coverage that doesn’t match their exposure. Join instructor Nicole “Human Energy Drink” Broch to learn many examples and risks insurance pros can use to talk insureds through coverage that is best for their policy and how to get it in the most affordable way possible. Discussion includes reference to many endorsements - some common, some not – insureds should consider.
- THURS, 5/22, 2 – 3p - An Hour with Nicole: Personal Lines: Read the %^&* Form! The Insurance Services Office (ISO) forms may be the standard but there are variations in commonly used non-standard forms that, if not identified, could lead to coverage problems. Nicole returns to help personal lines insurance pros get better positioned to search for and remedy such discrepancies.
Finally, if you’re an unapologetic lover of all-things Florida keep scrolling to experience this week’s “F5”: a tasty knowledge nugget about everyone’s favorite state.
Until the next round…cheers!

THE “F5” (FASCINATING FACTOID FOR FANATICAL FLORIDIANS) –
Must be the humidity.
Florida has cranked out some seriously bad#ss people but perhaps none is more deservingly called such then General James Alward Van Fleet.
Born in New Jersey, Van Fleet moved to the Sunshine State as an infant and adopted it as his home. Referred to as “America’s greatest general” by then President Truman, Van Fleet served in the Mexican Border War, WWI, WW2, and commanded U.S. and U.N. forces during the Korean War.
In addition to an exemplary military career that would see him awarded numerous accolades for distinguished service and earn the rank of four-star general, Van Fleet served as the head coach of the Florida Gators football team in 1923 and 1924. He led the Gators into national prominence with a 12–3–4 (.737) record.
At age 100, he passed away in 1992 at his ranch in Polk City. In 1998, a panel of Florida historians and other consultants named Van Fleet one of the fifty most important Floridians of the 20th century. The General James A. Van Fleet State Trail, running from Polk City to Mabel, Florida, is named in his honor.
