REMINDERS/ANNOUNCEMENTS
- Our overlords have spoken. Did you miss the most recent edition of the Florida Department of Financial Services quarterly newsletter? The Insurance Insights newsletter is like if the DFS were shouting important information to an enormous crowd of insurance licensees through a bullhorn. It’s automatically sent (e.g. you don’t need to subscribe to it) to the email address you provided the DFS in your licensee profile. If you don’t get the newsletter it’s essential you login to your DFS profile and update your email address. You can start that process here.
- You and many others. If you’re reading this chances are good you aren’t yet compliant with your 4-hour Law & Ethics Update requirement. Our schedule is packed with Webinars that fulfill the requirement for P&C licensees, Life/Health licensees, and All-Lines Claims Adjuster licensees. Keep scrolling to see the schedule.
THIS WEEK’S CE WEBINAR HIGHLIGHTS
- No live Webinars are scheduled the week of 6/30 – 7/4. We light up the sky next week with the first offerings of a July Webinar schedule beefier then your 4th of July burgers. Check this space in the next newsletter edition for highlights!
Finally, if you’re an unapologetic lover of all-things Florida keep scrolling to experience this week’s “F5”: a tasty knowledge nugget about everyone’s favorite state.
Until the next round…cheers!

THE “F5” (FASCINATING FACTOID FOR FANATICAL FLORIDIANS) –
Serious question: is there anything of historical significance in America (dare I say, the world) that CAN’T be somehow connected to St. Augustine?
While none of the signers of the Declaration of Independence were native to Florida (which wasn’t admitted to the American colonies as of 1776), three of them were held captive by the British in St. Augustine which at the time was the capital of the British Crown Colony of East Florida. American Patriots Thomas Heyward, Jr., Arthur Middleton, and Edward Rutledge each served as delegates to the Continental Congress from South Carolina. A marker in St. Augustine’s historic district tells the story.
