THIS WEEK’S WEBINAR HIGHLIGHTS

Featured Webinar: Definition of Insanity: Common Home and Auto Exposures We Know Are There & Do Nothing About, THURS, 10/30, 9a – 12p Eastern

Definition of insanity. This course, taught by FISCE personal lines guru Scott “the Guy-o from Ohio” Treen, discusses several home and auto exposures that most everyone knows are there yet, for some reason, continue to cause coverage problems. Furnished vehicles, trailers, personal property, kids earning cash, watercraft, and several other common exposures will be discussed with the hope of addressing them in a way that finally produces a different result: adequate coverage!

This Week’s Schedule/Highlights (all times Eastern. Keep scrolling to see the full month schedule.)

  • TUES, 10/28, 9a – 12p – Stinkin’ Rich, Insurance Poor: P&C Coverage Challenges for High-Net-Worth Individuals. Personal lines insurance pros often face challenges when trying to identify and place exposures unique to high-net-worth individuals. Join instructor Kym “Got Fat Stacks (of Policies)” Martell for this deep-dive into many such exposures and learn to master the risk management process as well as provide needed insurance solutions for such insureds.

  • WED, 10/29, 9a – 12p - Big Rig, Big Risk: Mastering Trucking Accounts. Society as we know it depends on the trucking industry getting from A to B unscathed. Sometimes, accidents happen. The Motor Carrier Coverage Form (MCCF) is at the core of many Motor Carrier/Trucking accounts. Instructor/driver “Rockin” Robin Federici returns to discuss the Insurance Services Office (ISO) MCCF, exclusions, and conditions. She will emphasize how understanding “who is an insured” shapes the coverage, provide answers to a variety of coverage questions on the effect of ISO symbols and how exceptions to exclusions provide some surprising expansions of coverage.

  • WED, 10/29, 1 – 4p - Social Security and Medicare: Your Questions Answered. This course, created and taught by veteran insurance educator (and one who has personally run the Social Security/Medicare sign-up gauntlet) Chris “Yoda” Amrhein will reveal lessons learned about both programs and bring much clarity to the chaos. Whether you are seeking info to help a customer, spouse, parent, relative or preparing for your own journey through the retirement “rite of passage”, harvest the value of experience and take this course!

  • THURS, 10/30, 9a – 12p - Definition of Insanity: Common Home and Auto Exposures We Know Are There & Do Nothing About. Our featured Webinar this week! See description above.

THE “F5” (FASCINATING FACTOID FOR FANATICAL FLORIDIANS) –

The Florida Theatre, Jacksonville

In celebration of October the F5 section will feature stories about the Sunshine State’s most haunted places/things. Enjoy!

In 2020, the historic Florida Theatre in Jacksonville replaced almost all of its 1,950 seats…except two. Balcony seats E1 and E2 were the only two preserved during the renovation and the reason makes perfect sense: they’re spoken for by ghosts.

The theater is long believed to be haunted and the two balcony seats have become a favorite attraction of paranormal enthusiasts. Inexplicable movements are said to have been witnessed in the balcony, leading to suspicion that the responsible party is an apparition of Joseph Hilton, an organist who worked there in the 1920s who later committed suicide.

Have you attended a show at this magnificent theater? If so, were you brave enough to park your keester in the balcony?
